The Irish Anti-Vivisection Society and Sentient Rights Ireland will come together to mark World Day for Animals in Laboratories on Wednesday, April 22nd at 12:30pm in Dublin City Centre.
We will be holding a leaflet outreach event outside St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre to highlight the thousands of animals currently suffering in Irish laboratories. Please join us to raise awareness and stand in solidarity with the millions of animals impacted worldwide.
In 2024 alone, over 112,000 animals were used in Irish laboratories. The majority—an estimated 50,000—were mice subjected to highly invasive and painful toxicity tests for botox-type products, many of which are linked to cosmetic use. The continued licensing of these procedures reflects a serious lack of meaningful consideration for animal welfare.
The Irish Anti-Vivisection Society is calling on the government to set a clear deadline to end animal testing for botox products and to support the transition toward modern, non-animal testing methods.
We encourage you to join us in commemorating this important day. If you’re unable to attend, you can still support the campaign by signing our petition and sharing this event with others.
