The Irish Anti-Vivisection Society, SAFRIreland, NARA, Sentient Rights Ireland and The Party for Animal Welfare will be commemorating World Day for Animals in Laboratories on Wednesday April 24th at 13:00 in Dublin City Centre.
We will be highlighting the thousands of animals suffering in Irish laboratories with a leaflet drop outside the Stephen's Green shopping centre in Dublin City. Join us in spreading awareness and commemorating the suffering of millions of animals all over the world.
Over 90,000 animals suffered in Irish laboratories in 2022. The majority of animals to be destroyed – an estimated 32,000 - were mice used in extremely cruel poisoning tests of botox-type products, many of which are for cosmetics purposes. The government’s licensing of these experiments shows it gives no meaningful regard to the welfare of the animals. The IAVS has called on the government to set a deadline for the cessation of animal botox tests, and incentivise botox producers to invest in non-animal replacement tests.
Please join us to commemorate World Day For Animals In Laboratories. If you can't make it, please sign our petition and share this event with friends and family.
