PLEASE BE A VOICE FOR ANIMALS
Ahead of the general election on November 29th, your local candidates will be out and about in your area trying to get your vote. Please consider taking the opportunity to ask them about their position on animal welfare.
When voting, two outstanding people to consider are:
Paul Murphy is the People Before Profit's spokesperson on animal rights. In September, he introduced a Bill to prohibit Botox testing on animals. The IAVS has been campaigning to end this vicious test for many years. He has also put forward bills to ban hare coursing and for animal sentience to be legally recognised in Ireland. He is currently working on a bill targeting the cruelty of the pig industry.
